I was so excited to hear from this family again!!  You might even remember them from their maternity session for their little girl just over 2 years ago.

As most of you know, I’ve been on maternity leave after giving birth to my little princess 6 weeks ago.  Well these little guys were born 12 weeks ago.  Their mama contacted me last week asking if I could possibly take their newborn photos. I was so overjoyed!  I was also a little nervous.  Normally newborn photography is done within the first 14 days of the baby’s life.  These little guys spent 3 weeks in the NICU and then I’m sure it was quite the adjustment when they came home.  The little guys are just the sweetest.  Little mister Jeffery was so quiet & sleepy…UNLESS his brother Michael was asleep, then of course he was awake.  Michael was normally WIDE awake…as you can see, he did finally give in and then HE was the one sleeping and Jeffery was awake. :)   Then we have their precious big sister Grace….oh, she’s such a doll!!!  A smart, sweet, precious little firecracker!!!  This mama and daddy are so very blessed!!!  But as a mother of three, I know how hard it can be to find time for each other as parents. When Joanna asked for a photo of just her and Jeff…I was so touched.  Then to catch her snuggling in his neck both with so much joy on their faces, it brought tears to my eyes.  Still, seeing that photo below makes me all misty.  Thank you Jeff and Joanna for allowing me to come into your home and spend the day with your beautiful family!!

So much ♥ love,

what a great family to get to photograph….the shots are beautiful!

This weekend I had the pleasure of meeting up with Dr. Tara of Gill Family Chiropractic and her precious little family!!! We met at the apple orchard at The Elegant Farmer in Mukwonago.  What a gorgeous setting and OH MY!! What CUTE OVERLOAD!!!  We had fun climbing trees, eating some delish apples and just running and playing despite it being slightly chilly and quite windy.   It was so fun to getting to know the kiddos and see each of their personalities.  Tara thank you for allowing me to capture you sweet family!!!

Beautiful! What a fun looking session.

I love it when I get a call from a family that I have worked with before!!  I received a call a few months back from this family letting me know that they were expecting again!!  I was so very excited.  Did I mention that I LOVE calls like this!!!  Just 21 months ago I had the pleasure of capturing their first born son’s newborn photos.

Come to find out, their due date was only a few weeks prior to my very own due date.  I decided that their session would be my last before the birth of my own sweet baby #3. :)   Both of these little guys really made me work hard, but man are they ever precious and so worth every minute of it!  I feel like the luckiest girl alive to get to do what I love and what I’m passionate about!!!  I love watching families grow, getting to hold their babies in my arms and capture these precious moments for them.  Thank you once again, Kym and Ross for welcoming me into your home to snuggle and love on your sweet babies!!

It was such an honor to get to photograph this sweet little family.   A family of little princesses.

Whew they made me work for it, but it was well worth it.  Those big beautiful brown eyes, that deep rich dark hair.  Little dolls.

It was so great meeting your family and photographing each of you!!!  Thank you for the opportunity!!

“A life so brief,
A child so small,
You had the power to touch us all.”

To My Dearest Tracy, Luke and Baby Liam,

I want to thank you, from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to be a part of your love and your story.  Your story of amazing courage, faith, love and strength.  You have blessed my heart beyond belief.   To see you holding on to the strength and love you have for each other.   Thank you for allowing me to capture your precious little angel, to hold him, to love him & to kiss him.  Liam will forever be a part of my heart.

Please, if there is EVER anything I can do….know that you have my love and support & I will always be here for your family.

SOOOO much love,

♥ Julie MayRee

For those of you who have been praying for Tracy, Luke and Liam, THANK YOU.  Thank you from them, thank you from their family and thank you from me.  Your outpouring of love has been amazing.

Last night around 8pm I received a call from Luke.  Tracy’s water had broke and they had gone to the nearest hospital to them (a 2 hour drive from me.)   I grabbed my gear, hopped in the car and drove as quickly as I could.  There was a tranquil sunset of pink, purples…just breathtaking.  It was Liam’s sunset…a sunset I will remember for the rest of my life.

I continued on my journey & called when I was about 30 minutes out & got voicemail….I was so worried I wouldn’t make it in time.  As I was approaching the hospital I received a call from a family member letting me know that baby Liam had been born and they were holding him.  By the time I made it up to their room, the sweet little man had gone to be with our Lord.   Tracy and Luke received the blessing & the answer to prayer they had been asking for.  They were elated that they were able to spend an hour and seven mintues with their precious little angel.  I arrived to a room full of family.  There were tears, there were smiles…..and there was a beautiful mama cradling her darling angel baby in her arms.   Daddy’s face was lit up.  I have never seen a daddy doting on their little one the way Luke was with Liam.  He was so excited to be Daddy.  He was so excited to be holding, touching, feeling his little boy in his arms.  He was amazed by his hair, his eyelashes….his little nose, he went on and on .   Daddy gave him a bath, fixed his hair and kissed all over him.   We spent time photographing Liam, capturing the family loving on him.  Soaking up all of the lovin’.    As I was photographing the new little family, the way they embraced each other, the way the looked each other and their little man.  I fell apart when Luke ran his fingers through Tracy’s hair and said, “you did wonderful baby.”   The love and bond these two share is so inspirational.  What amazing parents little Liam was blessed with.  As I was leaving Tracy’s mom told me to take care of myself and my sweet little baby & to know that my baby has a friend, an angel watching over it……. Today I celebrate two amazing parents & the very short life of a beautiful little boy who will forever and ever be in my heart.  Big kisses little Liam Anthony.  xo

God bless you Julie for doing this…for taking these beautiful pictures of baby Liam- he’s a beautiful baby boy!

What a fun bunch this was!!!  They traveled up from the Chicago burbs to their lake house where we enjoyed the evening!!  There was a total of 7 adults, 8 children and 3 doggies!!  OH MY!!!  It was kind of a toasty evening, but we made the best of it…we played, we ran, we even finished the evening at the beach.  It was 2 hours of pure joy for my heart!!!  I really enjoyed every minute of it and I hope they did too!!!

Before you start reading this post. Please scroll to the bottom and click the play button BELOW the you tube video. When contacted by Tracy, the mama in these photos, back almost 3 months ago, I did not have a clue how much I would be touched by the story of her little unborn angel Liam.  This couple has so much courage, so much heart and so much love to give their little boy.  At only 13 weeks they found out that something was “different” about their little guy.  He was diagnosed with Limb Body Wall Complex, a fatal condition.  They demonstrate such courage and faith to continue this pregnancy, praying for a miracle for their wee little sweetheart.  They continue on, nurturing this baby showing even the unborn child what amazing parents they are.  They have taken him to the zoo, Milwaukee Brewers games and to 4th of July fireworks so he too will get a chance to experience all of the amazing things in life.  They continue to grow this child with prayers that his heart and lungs will become strong enough to be operated on after birth.  They love, cherish and support each other through this journey of not knowing what’s next.  They pray for the miracle that Liam will beat ALL odds. They pray that they get to spend an hour or two or even a lifetime with their little angel, that he will take that percent of a percent chance and survive this.  Tracy & Luke, I thank you for sharing the journey of little Liam with me.  I thank you for being such amazing and encouraging people.

Last night Tracy went into labor at 32 weeks.  The doctors were able to stop the labor & think that Liam could possibly continue to grow and get stronger for a couple more days or weeks.  I ask that anyone reading this, please pause and take a moment to pray for this precious family. Pray for strength throughout the coming day and years.

Here they are Tracy, Luke and Liam on their 2 year wedding anniversary.

Please share this organization with everyone you know.  Photos by NILMDTS photographers help many families with the grieving and healing process.  Please, if you have any questions at all about NILMDTS, please click the “contact me” tab at the top of the page.  I would love to discuss the organization with you.  ♥

There is power in prayer! We will be praying for Tracy, Luke & Liam. I’d like to share some lyrics to a song that Gerald Crabb, a dear friend of ours wrote:
“He never promised, that the road would not get heavy, or the hill would not be hard to climb. He never promised victory without fighting, but he said help would always come in time. Just remember when you’re standing, in the valley of decision, and the adversary says give in….just Hold On, our Lord will show up, and He’ll take you through the fire again.”
With earnest prayers,

In tears! Prayers for their little boy! Prayers for them as they face this difficult time. Miracles can and DO happen, praying he is one of Gods miracles.

It is scary facing the unknown especially when it is your unborn child. While I was p…regnant she was diagnosed with something called an omphalocele (you can google it but basically her organs were on the outside of her body including her liver, stomach, large and small intestines, and spleen) at 10 weeks gestation. We were told to “terminate and start over” that she wouldn’t survive and if she did she’d be a vegetable. She is now 6, will be staring cheerleading this year and is very smart! God is the great physician!

It was my absolute pleasure to get to spend some time lovin’ and snugglin’ on this tiny little beauty on Saturday.  This was the first opportunity that Wisconsin weather has given me to shoot outdoors with a newborn babe.  I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect little princess for the “job.”  She was just perfect.  NOT ONLY is she GORGEOUS….but she was the CHAMP of sleeping!  I have never had a newborn so comfortable and sleepy as she was. I had about 5-10 minutes of her with her eyes open, then it was back to dream land for her. :)

I thank her mommy and daddy for being so welcoming of me into their home and being so trusting of me to photograph their beautiful 8 day old baby girl.

Here she is, precious doll baby Danielle Irene.

Susan contacted me just last week in need of photos super quick for her corporate press release.  I was a little nervous when she said she wanted corporate headshots….not that I couldn’t do it or that I couldn’t pull it off, just that it’s not my typical “style.” I knew we would work together just fine when she told me that she wanted “non-traditional, not stuffy” headshots, headshots that captured her personality.   She and I completely clicked & I enjoyed every mintue of our session last night in between the thunderstorms.  She is one of those people you meet and immediatly know that she is just as beautiful on the inside as she is the outside.

Susan, it was great meeting you and I look forward to working with you more in the future!!!
